Anywhoo, this first picture is of our living room when we first bought our home. It had carpet and having two dogs and two kids at the time, carpet was just not working for us at all. So we decided to take it up and put down wood floors. (when I say wood floors I mean the stuff that goes on sale at Lumber Liquidators... LOL)

Yay.... No more carpet. Doesn't this look so fancy? Well, it was much better and much easier to keep clean! We really enjoyed the whole hard wood floor deal. I can't find any pictures of our room set up with our furniture except the one on the right, but we did have an entertainment center over there in the left corner. The only odd thing about it was that the right corner was empty... Why do they build houses and just leave those empty? I mean.. why couldn't they have just built the built-ins for people like us who can't afford to put those in. LOL

And here is what we've been having to walk around on since sometime after Thanksgiving... Looks like a lot of fun huh?? Yep... Well, not sure if you can tell but we even painted the walls. The pictures don't show the colors because they are soo close to the ceiling color. Paint is so funny. You buy it one color and it goes on the wall another color. It's very neutral which is what we wanted. Oh did you notice the baseboards are a little larger? Yep we get to replace those throughout our whole house too!! Love them!! :)

Well, here is our final image of the day. The is what our living room is going to look like. Oh did you notice that nice flat screen over the fireplace?? Nice huh? Oh yea!!! lol
These floors are going to go throughout our entire house except the kitchen and breakfast area. OMGosh they are sooooooo nice! I can't wait until its all done! Hopefully this room will be done by next week. Did I mention that the hubby and I are doing this all on our own? He's doing a great job on the floors huh? For my friends that talk to him..... You should tell him he's doing a great job!! :)

That completes my blog post for today. I will continue to post more photos as we work along through the house. It's going to take some time but we are getting there. The only reason we are doing it ourselves is so we can afford to replace all the floors in the house. You know the saying... patience is a virtue!!
Thanks for checking out my blog today! Hope you all have a FABULOUS day and don't forget, anyone can leave comments if you want!!
