Auto vs Manual

One of the biggest things for me was to step out of the auto setting and take on the manual settings. At first it was really hard because I could not for the life of me figure out those settings. I will tell you that taking a lot of time reading my manual for my camera and studying my camera has helped me tremendously! So if you can learn your camera in manual I will have to say it's one of the best things you could start doing. (Or you could just pay me to take your pictures) :)

Below I have a picture of my daughter taken with the Auto settings on the left and the one on the right is taken with my Manual settings. Both of these pictures are straight out of the camera (SOOC) with no editing other than being moved to show a side by side image.

To me, I think it's a huge difference. What do you think?

The picture on the left looks blue in color and is just real flat. The picture on the right shows colors more vivid than the ones in auto and of course I can change my depth of field in manual as well and I really LOVE playing with that!! The manual picture is still a little flat and needs some adusting so the picture below is the manual picture edited.

Now that I have shown the difference in Auto vs Manual here is a side by side picture of the manual SOOC and the edit. What do you think?

If you have any questions please feel free to post them and I will gladly try to answer them. Hope you enjoyed this post!
